Main Regulations on Blogging
Rules are not the nicest thing, but they are important. Below are the basic yet must-follow requirements for creating content.
- Placement of advertising messages within the site is prohibited.
- Any commerce within the blogs is prohibited.
- Please do not put any offensive content in your blog posts. Neither can it contain obscene language or insults.
- Propaganda and agitation intended to incite social, racial, national, political, sexual or religious enmity are strictly off-limits.
- It is prohibited to write about ‘screwjobs’ from the side of poker rooms and online casinos. There is a commentary section under site reviews for this sort of stuff.
Author’s Responsibility for Content Quality & Its Visual Presentation
- Do not write the entire text with Caps Lock turned on.
- Add a large image to the post.
- Aim to write competently.
- Make the headlines of your blog posts meaningful.
- Use only one space between words; add a space after a punctuation mark, etc.
- Your blog post should be text, not a couple of absurd sentences.
- Remember to break your text into paragraphs and highlight the most important information. Use images, photos and videos. This will help make your blog more attractive and memorable.
- Avoid reposts, ancient news, copy-paste content and elephants in the room 🤪
- Avoid overly brief and overly long posts without images, and don’t overuse paragraphs and subheadings. These can cause a negative reaction from the community.
The first time the content is agitated, it is simply deleted. The second time the user violates, they receive a warning. After the third time, they are banned.
Following the first violation, your post will be simply deleted. Second violation = a warning from the administration. The third violation will lead to an account ban.
Text Uniqueness
One of the main requirements for running a blog is text uniqueness. You can use information from other resources, but do not abuse it.
It is forbidden to publish copy-pastes from other sites. Uniqueness of blog posts must be no lower than 75%; otherwise, the post can be deleted without any notice. Consequently, its rating will not be taken into account in blogger contests if such are held.
You should not post copyrighted material from internet forums and other people's blogs – we’ll check that. In certain cases, you can tell someone else's story or share an interesting story that happened to someone from your surroundings or beyond them (e.g., to a buddy, some celebrity or a famous poker player). The main thing is that you write about it yourself – no AI texts!. It is also acceptable to post videos and images from the Internet (advertisements excluded!).
If a copy-paste, low degree of text uniqueness or AI are detected, the user can receive a warning message. In some cases, the post will be hidden by the administration.
What to Write About?
You can recall funny stories or interesting episodes from your personal experiences or the experiences of your friends, particularly those related to online gambling. You can cover poker, slots and other casino games.
Think twice before writing another story about the latest bad beat at a poker table or the questionable work of RNG on some gambling site. Discuss every topic in a friendly atmosphere.
Blog Post Ranking
Rate the post positively if you agree with the author's opinion, or negatively if you disagree. Do not insult users if your views or beliefs differ.
Accounts that openly promote certain users and lower ratings of others will be mercilessly blocked.
Users of the site can be banned for violating the community rules. Once again, these include posting advertising messages/links and aggressive behaviour that insults other members.
Cardmates.co.uk administration has the right to make changes to the rules without notice. The administration also has the right to delete material that does not comply with the content standards at any time.
