The 3-Minute Heartbreak

I settled in at 8:00 PM with that familiar midweek optimism. I had Chelsea on my ticket not because they’ve been in world-class form, but because "surely, they can’t lose five in a row, right?"

I didn't even have time to open my first bottle of water before Ferdi Kadıoğlu put Brighton up in the 3rd minute.

There is no feeling quite like watching your "safe" bet or your team’s game plan evaporate before the clock even hits double digits.

When that first goal goes in that early, you don’t just feel the loss; you feel the long, grueling 87 minutes of "chasing the game" that are about to follow.

Brighton didn't just win; they did that thing where they make you feel like you're chasing a ghost.

By the time Wesley Fofana picked up that yellow card in stoppage time of the first half, you could feel the frustration boiling over. It’s that classic Chelsea midweek cycle:

Hope: "We’ve got the better squad."

Shock: The 3rd-minute goal.

Anger: The silly fouls and yellow cards.

Acceptance: Watching the 3-0 scoreline go "Full Time" while Brighton fans sing in the rain.

Another crazy Tuesday…

That 3rd minute goal is a total mood killer for any parlay.

Are you going to keep backing Chelsea after this, or is it time to put them on the "do not bet" list for a while?
