The One Leak You Can't Hide at the Poker Table
Ignore and It'll Cost you More Money
Basically every poker tell can be hidden, manipulated, or faked.
All but one >>> RESENTMENT
If you live in a place where you are constantly resenting things, such as:
1) Other players who you are “better” than who win more than you
2) That you win less money than you “deserve”
3) You don’t get the “respect” that you’ve “earned”
You are screwed.
You can’t hide this.
It oozes out of you in every part of your game and your life—the way you look at others, the way you talk to people and treat them, the way you handle winning, the way you handle losing, and yes of course, the way you play.
Resentment and huge success do not go together. If you want to win big, you can’t afford this.
The thing is, most people understand this. They just can’t get there.
So what ends up happening is that you try to show up each day with a different attitude, only to find you can’t get those entitled thoughts out of your heads the next time something doesn’t go your way or someone you don’t like is dragging another pot with that annoying smirk on their face.
There is no limit to how bad it gets.
The longer this goes?
The worse you feel.
The worse you feel, the worse you play.
The worse you play, the less you win, and the less you win, the more resentment you feel—each round snowballing bigger and bigger until one day you wake up realizing you hate how you are.
At a certain point, you have to choose; Change this, or watch your career die off.
