The Poker Hand I Would Play Differently Today
Looking back at some of my poker sessions, there are hands I remember because I won a huge pot, and others I remember because I made a clumsy mistake, the mistakes I won't repeat today.
The funny part is, it's often the losing hands that teach you the most lessons.
There's one situation that comes to mind whenever I think about how much experience can change the way you approach poker.
This hand taught me a lesson.
I literally just joined in on a poker cashgames table and the first card I was dealth with was Pocket Queens I was excited and thought if this hits I could make quick bucks from it not knowing it was a trap.
Without thinking twice I went all in before the flop and then a player called all in also while others folded. The card flipped and I saw he had Pocket Ace and at that moment I knew I've made a huge mistake.
I definately learned my lesson here and now I know best not to try and gamble my way into making quick bucks with poker. I've learned to be strategic and it's what I'll be implementing in my game today.
Endevour, I get you. I used to see them cards and think AI. I use more caution these days!
I learnt the hardway man 😭
