1. Recognise and identify the different stages of play and adapt your play accordingly i.e. no bluffs early stages.

2. Do not shove or raise a Germans blinds unless you want action. (It was something I observed and I asked AI if I was being biased/prejudiced! It turns out I wasn't there was a German player famous for extreme blind defense and for a period it was taught throughout most of German poker theory!)

3. Do not frighten the fish! Genuinely, observe their betting patterns and what they react to. The number of times I see someone that has obviously landed on a hand proceed to then do the one thing that prevents them extracting every chip from the fish, smh.

4. Be aware of not only yours, but other peoples stacks sizes and position. A players range can be very varied based on these.

5. Do not feed the fish! If you have a hand you wouldn't raise with then you shouldn't have a problem folding it! fair enough if you think you have a read and are making plays, but otherwise just limping along and bloating posts hoping for something just makes them into whales not fish and then I have to stack em 3 times to get em to zero.
