What current technology did you never imagine would exist as a child?

I was amazed at the idea of talking to someone from the other side of the world on the phone. I remember making paper cups tied together with a string to talk to each other as kids, today every kid has a mobile and a social media account. In my time, imagining talking to someone on the other side of the world in real time seemed like the stuff of a movie. Today we make cell phone video calls, watch streaming movies, order food without talking to anyone, and even play online poker with thousands of players spread across planet , all at the same time. Stopping to think, it's amazing how technology has transformed things that seemed impossible into something completely normal in our daily lives.
