Have Liverpool's chances of retaining the Premier League title just been boosted?

I was getting worried!

I read an article, posted September 11, which suggested Liverpool could have fallen behind their rivals in their bid to retain the Premier League crown, as the likes of Chelsea, Manchester United and Arsenal spent big this summer.  It is said that most teams need to build from a position of strength and it is important to buy well after winning the highly sought-after English domestic league at the top level.

Much to the relief of many Liverpool fans including myself, the club has now caught up with the others and there is a feeling that with these two world class signings that Liverpool's odds for winning the title for a second time Ina row are significantly upped.  The only downside is that Thiago Alcantra is 29, but bought at a snip of his £83 million value for £31 million as his Bayern Munich contract was running out within a year, it is said they'd have brought in a midfield superstar.  I would agree with this and the statistics definitely show he is one of the best, if not 'the' best having just won the Champions League with his former German club.  Jota on the other hand is younger at 24, a striker, and unproven yet of his abilities.  Trust me, he is a very good player and will be Ann excellent addition to the already world class strikers of Salah, Firmino and Mane.

The future looks bright again and with this fresh talent injected into the club there is a renewed sense of excitement about the upcoming season - sometimes just having fresh faces does this.  Klopp obviously chooses his players carefully and wisely, that is obvious now, and won't buy just anyone in unless he isn't certain they will fit into the team.  It's looking super competitive in the squad now, and it will mean this iconic Liverpool team will only get stronger.  

I am that excited about these two new signings, as well as the prospect of getting Ousmane Dembele on loan from Barcelona (also world class) that I will purchase the new Premier Manager 2020/21 game, something I rarely do.
