🏆 1st place in the 888pokerTV Freeroll ($61 up!)

What’s up everyone,
Just wanted to share a quick brag because I finally managed to take down one of these massive 888 freerolls.

Since starting my recorded journey I’ve been grinding these large fields trying to find that one breakthrough, and it finally happened. It’s been a crazy week. Just a few days ago, I posted about my 2nd place on William Hill bagging $20, which felt like a great momentum builder. But outlasting 2,432 players to take 1st for $61.55? That hits different!

The early game was the usual absolute madness - people punting stacks with literally any two cards. I just stayed patient and stuck to my 8-max ranges, folding a lot of junk like KQo and Q4s when people were jamming 100 big blinds. My turning point was picking up Pocket Queens around the 150/300 level. I flopped a set on a 3-9-4 board and got paid off big time, which finally gave me a stack I could actually play with.

Once I got to the final table, I was sitting on a massive lead (around 1.6m chips) so I just started putting the squeeze on everyone. I was opening wide from the button and CO, just punishing the short stacks who were trying to ladder up.

Heads-up was a bit of a grind, but I started with a 4.5m to 2.7m lead and just kept chipping away until I had all 7 million chips in front of me.

It feels good to actually win the final hand for once instead of getting blinded out! If you’re grinding these freerolls, my best advice is just to survive the early "bingo" phase—once you get deep and the blinds actually matter, the solid play really starts to pay off.

See you guys at the tables! - kmiarka
