115 Hours of Poker. Could You Do It?

Most of us start feeling mentally drained after a long poker session.

Maybe six hours. Eight if we're really locked in

But imagine sitting at the table for 115 straight hours.

That's exactly what Phil Laak did back in 2010 when he set a world record by playing poker continuously for nearly five days.

And honestly, the more I think about it, the crazier it sounds.

People who don't play poker often thinks it's a game of luck, but anyone who's spent serious time at the tables knows how exhausting poker can be.

You're constantly making decisions.

Should I call?

Should I fold?

Is he bluffing?

Am I being bluffed?

Now imagine asking your brain to do that for almost five days with barely any real rest.

Playing poker for 115 hours straight is an insane achievement.

Because at that point, you're no longer battling the cards.

You're battling your own mind.

And that's probably the toughest opponent any poker player will ever face.

Man, just thinking about a 115-hour marathon gives me a headache - I start making terrible punts after just a few hours online, so massive respect to anyone who can battle their own brain for five days straight! 🧠💤
