Finally watched this one
Since we’ve been talking about films and sharing thoughts, I’ll jump in as well…
So I finally watched Law Abiding Citizen and honestly - really liked it. I’d give it a solid 8.5/10.
It’s one of those films that keeps you thinking the whole way through. Starts off pretty straightforward, but then it keeps twisting things and you’re never fully sure who’s actually “right”. I love that kind of tension.
Also, the whole idea behind the main character - how far someone can go when they feel the system has failed them - is actually a bit unsettling in a good way. Makes you question things, not just watch passively.
There were a couple of moments where it felt slightly over the top, but overall it didn’t ruin it for me at all. Still super engaging.
Definitely one of those films where you just sit there after and go, “yeah… that was something.”

Last film i saw - hadnt been to the cinema in AGES!
It was a beautiful adaptation of the book which was also marvellous.
What films have you seen where youve read the book first or vice versa? Im glad im old enough to have read both Lord of the rings and harry Potter before they got made into films - although i think she was just finishing the 7th book when the 1st or 2nd film came out.
You should definitely give Law Abiding Citizen a watch, it’s worth it
Haven’t seen H is for Hawk yet - would you recommend it?
And yeah, reading the book first is always special. Harry Potter was like that for me too. Any other adaptations you’d suggest?
