Funny how that works

Here’s something a bit ironic.

I don’t like live tournaments. Never really have.

Too slow. Too much waiting around. Too many distractions. I prefer being online — more volume, more control, cleaner decisions. Feels like actual work.

And yet… my results are better live.

Doesn’t really make sense on the surface. I feel less comfortable, less in rhythm, sometimes even a bit bored. But somehow I end up going deeper, making better runs.

Maybe it’s the pace. Maybe it forces more patience. Maybe other players make bigger mistakes.

Not going to pretend I’ve figured it out.

Still don’t enjoy it as much. Still prefer online.

But results don’t really care what you prefer.
