MY FIRST FEW DAYS WITHOUT PLAYING POKER!
Hi Cardmates, I’m not going to lie after playing poker basically every day for the past two years I feel I’m having withdrawal symptoms. At the same time I feel less anxious and stressed about things and have noticed I am interacting more with my family. I still have some daily freeroll tickets for GGpoker so I’m going to play them and play the weekly freeroll the weekend.
I have blocked myself from 888poker for 12 months, I find 888 is to easy to spend your days playing with all the freerolls that are constantly running so I’ve removed temptation!
So I obviously am missing it but have definitely made the right decision as my stress levels and my mood has improved significantly in a short space of time
Maybe after some time away from poker I will be able to return more organised with time management and get back to enjoying the game rather than getting frustrated with it

Bud. Sounds like you have burn out. Honestly you need variance so to speak In your life.
Just constantly playing online is bad for your health just as much as those that constantly scroll tik tok, facebook etc.
Spending quality time with family and friends rewarding in itself.
But not just for you. For your loved ones as well.
Being all consumed by anything online is never great. But especially poker.
Remember things should be fun. When the fun stops stop as they say .
Definitely, but I could not see it until I stopped and assessed what I had been doing. Hopefully I will get back playing in the future, I think my issue has been going from working to nothing the only outlet in front of me was the poker💙
Good on you - time is the only thing you cant get back and poker is mostly a waste of time . I hope to come back with a blog similar to this one ^^ .
