Sometimes you need a day away from poker
Had one of those days recently where I opened the lobby, stared at it for a minute… and just closed everything again.
No tilt. No bad results. I just genuinely didn’t feel like playing.
A couple years ago I probably would’ve forced myself to grind anyway because “discipline” and all that. But now I think there’s a difference between being lazy and simply knowing your head isn’t fully in it.
Sometimes the best thing you can do for your game is spend a day completely away from it.
Go outside. Watch something. Talk to actual humans for once 😄
Funny thing is, I usually come back sharper after those breaks anyway.

I know what you mean. I have those days where you know your head is not right but you carry on grinding anyway, even though you know you’re not going to get anywhere. I do this quite often and it’s something I feel I need to discipline myself with if I am to progress at poker!
Yeah, exactly that. Sometimes the hardest discipline isn’t forcing yourself to play - it’s knowing when not to. I think a lot of us confuse volume with productivity. But grinding through sessions when your head clearly isn’t there usually just turns into frustration and bad habits. Still learning that balance myself honestly))
Been sleeping since bro, damn
