Table dynamics matter more than cards
Something I noticed early in tournaments - most players focus too much on their own hand. They look at their cards, think about ranges, maybe glance at stack sizes. That’s it. But a lot of the real edge comes from understanding the table.
Who’s protecting a short stack.
Who just lost a big pot.
Who’s clearly waiting for premiums.
Those things change how often you can apply pressure. Two players can hold the exact same hand in the same position. One prints chips. The other folds. Difference isn’t the cards. It’s the timing.
Curious if others notice this too - do you adjust a lot to table dynamics, or mostly stick to your standard game?
