The Biggest Poker Mistake That Makes Beginners Lose More Money

The hardest part in Poker for beginners isn't how they play, it's not knowing how to read the table.

All they just want to see is whether they have a good hand, they're not always curious if their opponent have a better hand.

I've been there, that's why I'm making this content.

Earlier today, I was playing a Poker Cashgame NLH $0.5/$1. During the games the table dealt me A♠️K❤️, excitement kicked in but I didn't let it control me.

The Flop came with;

5♣️7♣️K♦️

That was a pair, my opponent check. I did the same.

The Turn came with;

8❤️

My opponent Check again. I call this time but not too big, considering the fact there might be a flush draw. My opponent call.

The river came with another;

K♣️

Now I have 3 of a kind with an ace support.

My opponent 3-bet the Pot which made me pause for a moment.

My hand feels like the strongest hand right, I know..... If I was still a beginner I would have called all in without thinking twice about the possibility of a flush.

Now I wanna ask, what decision did you think I made here, and If it were you in this situation, what decision are you making?

For me, what would be going through my mind is what position the opponent is in. If the opponent is in the big blind, I would definitely be folding my AK in this scenario

Good choice.... but what if he was bluffing

If I've seen him bluff a few times then I'd be tempted to call only a small bet on the river

Maninly because I think the big blind in this scenario is very likely to have hit the flush or straight, especially if he just called your raise pre-flop
