Arsenal vs Atletico Madrid: Predicted Lineup & Team Updates Ahead of Champions League Clash
Are you excited for tonight's match....
If your aren't, I am cause it's my team playing tonight 😌
Arsenal is about to head into a crucial second leg tonight with everything still hanging in the balance. We secured a 1-1 draw in Spain, now we're return to the Emirates Stadium knowing a strong performance would send us to our second Champions League final after two decades.
It's been soo long already.....
Mikel Arteta must decide just how much to risk Martin Odegaard and Kai Havertz. Both players were considered doubts after missing training on monday, but Arteta revealed at his pre-match press conference later that both would be involved.
"Yeah, they're available and in the squad both of them," Arteta said. "Great because we need options, we need the capacity to play different games tomorrow, whether it's from the start or after.
“It's really, really good news for us to have them both back."
Over the weekend, we played an impressive mtch against Fulham. That performance may influence Arteta’s thinking, especially if he prefers not to rush key players back into the starting lineup. Bukayo Saka, who was substituted early in that match as a precaution, is expected to be ready for this encounter.
Up front, Viktor Gyokeres will be pushing to retain his place after a standout performance that included two goals and an assist. In midfield, Myles Lewis-Skelly impressed last time out, but Martin Zubimendi could return to bring added control and experience.
Defensively, there are multiple options at full-back. Riccardo Calafiori showed good form in the last game, though Arteta might opt for a more cautious approach with Cristhian Mosquera and Piero Hincapie providing extra defensive stability.
I can't wait for the match to get started, we about to whoop their asses >>>
