Brain Fried With Poker – When the Game Doesn’t End at the Table

Everyone wants to play poker....

When they talk about it, they'll be like;

"I Love Poker"

"Poker is Such an entertaining game".

Nobody talks enough about what poker does to your mind after long sessions.

The game doesn’t always end when you close the table.

Sometimes you’re lying in bed trying to sleep… and suddenly that one hand replays in your head again.

"Why did I call there?"

"I should’ve folded on the turn."

"How did he even have that?"

And somehow your brain keeps reviewing hands like it’s doing unpaid overtime. What’s even crazier is when poker starts showing up in your dreams.

I dreamt about playing poker last night after a long session I played during the day. All I could remember after waking up is that I found myself at a live poker tournament and had lots of chips in my possession and the funniest part is I played well in the dream, but I can't remember the details.

There are times after playing a bad session, it completely mess up my mood for the day.

I become irritated over tiny things because deep down, I'm still thinking about that hand I butchered or that bluff that made no sense.

And the worst part? Most players experience this pretend they’re unaffected.

But honestly, I think this happens because poker is one of the few games where you can make the right decision and still lose… or make a terrible decision and somehow win.

The best move is just to step away and clear your head....

Very relatable. Poker can stay in your head long after the session ends, especially after tough hands or deep runs. Taking a step back and resetting mentally is honestly part of the game too
