Hit Quads Twice in 10 Hands
Hit Quads And Got Paid
Some of you might remember my previous post detailing a hand where I flopped top trips verses villains bottom set turned quads on the turn. When I tell you a similar scenario repeated itself today I'm not kidding. The hole cards and board run-out was different but for all intensive purposes the scenario was very similar. The difference being this time I flopped bottom set. My opponent had top set or was it middle set (I don't fully recall). The river gave me quads. To my surprise I get it all in and get called. It was at the micros (NL10) in a pot worth $20 or so bucks. No less than 10 hands later I hit quads on the river again. The first hand I held pocket pair. The second time hitting quads I did not. This time the pot was just under $4.00. I had $40+ at the table and my opponent had $30+. I'm first to act on the river and jam all in. I figured it's not likely I get called anyways so why not jam to see if I can cause some confusion. The confusion happened as the villain tanked for a moment before folding. I had both quad hands up ready to take a screenshot but I waited too long and the planned site maintenance commenced removing me from the tables and shutting down my hand replayer. I do have the option to download my hand history after the site finishes its maintenance. I might do that but for now this post will serve as a reminder that sometimes we are on the right side of variance. I hope you enjoyed the read. We wish you luck at the tables.
