Overlooked for Fossilman but a great Example

I often think that because of Fossil man Greg Raymer's stupendous run and eventual victory in the 2004 WSOP Main event that David Williams great play is often overlooked.

Williams went into the day in 8th place out of 9 and was also in 7th place with 8 remaining. His eventual runner up finish is a testament to his patience throughout the entire event despite only being 24 years old.

His check in the dark with pocket 5's against Josh Arieh's AK of hearts was legendary. Flopping the 5 helped obviously but he set that up with the dark check.

The fact he won his entry through an online satellite makes it such a bigger feat than he was ever given credit for.

While he is not the best player ever he is one of my favourites and still going strong at 46 as is Fossilman who I also think is a bona fide legend. Both of these players are great examples to all with their discipline and longevity.
