The Hand That Changed My Thinking.
I used to believe the bigger the bet, the more money I'd win.
Then one hand changed everything.
I flopped a monster and fired a huge river bet, expecting a call. Instead, my opponent folded without much thought.
As I stacked the pot, I realized I'd made a mistake. I hadn't scared him with my cards, I had scared him with my bet size.
Since then, I've learned that poker isn't always about winning the pot. Sometimes it's about betting just enough to get paid.
