WSOP 2026 Week #7: Results & Outcomes

WSOP 2026 Week #7

The key tables at Horseshoe and Paris Las Vegas are finally over. Only a handful of the 57th series of World Series of Poker (WSOP) tournaments are still in play. For us, it means the precise moment when we can take stock of Week #7 and also the whole series. Let’s recap the most prominent wins and discuss the outcomes!

The Exciting Moments of Week #7

Even though most of the action is past and the final table is set, the previous week brought us some notable triumphs and events:

  • David Peters, a seasoned high-stakes professional, grabbed an extra bracelet and took home a $1M cash prize. He now has 5 golden trophies in total and cashed over $50M, according to Hendon Mob. David crushed the $10K 6-Handed NLH Championship table in 72 minutes, proving he is still able to stand the harsh competition.
  • Shaun Deeb, aspiring for the Poker Hall of Fame induction, exited the Main Event table in 15th place. It was not a disappointing finish for Shaun, who could instead focus on the current Player of the Year (POY) race.
  • Erik Seidel, a famous poker legend, was very close to winning his 11th trophy at $3K 6-Handed PLO. But unfortunately, he lost the bracelet to Joshua Wang in a heads-up match. For Erik, it was his first final run at the WSOP 2026 festival, but his prowess and mastery had to give way to the unstoppable force of Wang.
  • Todd Brunson, the son of Doyle ‘Texas Dolly’ Brunson, had a very short run in the Main Event. Even though holding pocket Aces, Todd was eliminated by the nut flush coming from Malcolm Trayner.
  • Yanting Jiang, the single mom and recreational player, needed just 10 hours of play at the $3K Mid-Stakes Championship NLHE to take it down the next day. She outlasted 3,668 entries, grabbed the first bracelet and cashed $1,15M.

Again, last week proved that new names continue to emerge. However, the poker legends showed that there is life in the old dog yet. They continue dominating the headlines and cementing their status.

Main Event Final Table: Dates, Schedule & Player Roster

The action is officially supposed to end on July 15, but the Main Event will take place in three stages from August 3 to August 5. Based on the official data, we earlier announced that this year’s competition returns to the forgotten November Nine format. The final table was actually delayed to help ESPN build anticipation and attract more attention to the broadcasts. To the disappointment of many fans, there will be no streams on YouTube this year.

But we already know the elite nine players, the guaranteed millionaires, who’ll chase the $10M top prize, bracelet, and the status of the World Champion of Poker. Take a look at grinders who’ll battle for global recognition soon in August:

WSOP 2026: Key Takeaways

This season was full of action and excitement, but there are crucial breakthroughs that shaped this year’s championship:

  • Daniel Negreanu earned $1,702,513 for the series, expanded his collection with an extra bracelet, and spent over $1M on buy-ins.
  • Andrew Shelton got a $1,000,000 prize from a Mystery Bounty envelope at Event #1.
  • Kristen Foxen and Alex Foxen showed the power of love, winning +1 WSOP bracelet each.
  • TikTok engineer Zixuan Liu cashed $219K at $1,000 NLH and planned to buy his wife a new car.
  • Mike Matusow received a one-round penalty at the Main Event table for exposing the card.
  • Phillipp Mellon managed to enter the $100K High Roller PLO table by purchasing a $120 ticket to satellite. He is the unknown player with zero tournament record and no page on Hendon Mob.
  • The Main Event attracted 9,208 entries, which made it the fourth-largest in WSOP history.

The iconic legends like Daniel Negreanu, Nick Schulman, Shaun Deeb, and Michael Mizrachi strengthened their greatness with historic bracelet wins in 2026. While they wrote their names down in poker history, there are still 9 names that prepare to break a lance at the August showdown.

We can’t wait for the Min Even winner to be announced. But the countdown for next year’s series begins today. You have 365 days to refine your mastery and test yourself at WSOP tables in 2027. Who knows, maybe we’ll feature your story of success in our recaps next year.
