The Most Important Position in Poker: The Button or the Big Blind?
Good Morning Cardmates
I know different players will have different answers if this question if directed to them and now I'm directing the question to you cardmates.
Which Position do you think is the most important when playing poker ?
Some of you might say the Button (Dealer Position) is the most powerful seat at the table.
Others will argue that the Big Blind is where the real money is won.
Everyone obviosly have different opinions based on how they've played so far. But from my experience, the "Dealer Position" is the best and profitable position in poker.
If you're good at playing this position chances of losing is very low. You get to act last after the flop which means you have more information than everyone else.
You see how your opponents react before making own decision. That extra information is worth a lot in poker.
The Big blind is abviously important also. Why I don't like this position is that you're always forced to put money in the pot and here you tend to make mistakes more often.
The Dealer Position will always be my favourite position when playing.

Personally, I prefer the Dealer's position too
There's this thing about having enough time to think
9 out 10 never win with aces
Having the Button means you have the final absolute word on every post-flop betting round, turning the game into an uphill battle for your opponents.
Button every time imho unless I`m dealt pocket rockets on a BB

The button is the most important position.
As well as the advantages to controlling the pot size and seeing what other players do, you can play a range outwith what those in a previous position can.
Thats a major advantage
Yeah I’m with you on the button. Acting last is such a big edge, you see everything before you decide. Prefer it every time over the big blind.

Two suspects have now been ruled out.
I'm with the button or any late position when it folds cleanly to me, like everything it depends on the action ahead, which I guess is where you are going with the BB having lead out. The danger with any is they only give you leverage over weaker offerings. If you over abuse and are only 2.5x - 3x raising you risk getting shoved over, if you shove every time you risk running into a monster. But in sensible deepstack play 100% the button for me.
